All electric households

Picked up my Rapid Red MME on Tuesday. It replaced a Kia Sorrento. My wife is now driving my old Chevy Bolt. We are now an all electric transportation family with solar panels to match. How many more all electric households are out there?

We have gone from two BMW convertibles to Model 3 and MME now since late 2019.

I need to get my wife out of her Durango. I used to drive it to work sometimes to cut down on the mileage I put on my car (100 mi roundtrip commute), so she would average around 20 MPG. Since I stopped doing that and she only drives around town she's down to getting 15 MPG.

I'm in the process of getting solar now - so hopefully by next year we'll be an all-electric family too.

Plus all electric lawn appliances too.

Hopefully someday all electric inside the house as well.

We went from a Chevy Trax and a Toyota Camry to a Model 3 and an MME this year.

I dunno why but it feels kinda scary!!

my house has been solar since 2008, along with my first DIY ev... but it had limited range of about 40 miles/day, so I had an ICE vehicle for trips until I got my MME at the end of Feb.

I still drive my eMiata around town, the MME on days when I need more room or range, and my wife drives her BMW 330e (PHEV). Most days are all-electric for her, but the hybrid kicks in to alleviate range anxiety.

Had a Rav4EV and the MME for a few weeks until I just decided too many cars (there is also a company Camry too). Sold the Rav after three years for what I paid for it, but kept the 13MPG V8 Sport Trac (to tow the boat) and we have a Diesel RV, so pretty much every type of propulsion in our driveway.

Whoa...thread from the past....

We just sold our Boxster, so technically we're an all electric household with our one car (MME). But we plan to replace the Boxster with another EV.

And we also have solar panels...but no pictures...sorry!
