Does anyone know why some Order numbers are 8 numeric digits while others are one Alpha and three numeric?

The 8 digit numbers are for the customer on-line orders. The alpha plus three digits are from a dealer order via the dealer network.

Once you get the in transit email, you can start asking your dealer for copies of the vehicle visibility report.

Not yet, order is only in its fourth week, probably wont get that until August probably

If you placed your order on ford.com you should be able to get your VIN now. There is a tool available on the forum to use developer options to extract it from your order page. Not that it will do you any good for quite a while, but it's something to do to pass the time while you wait.

I'll do you one better, I have a 4 numeric digit order number, like others said, pretty sure this is because it was dealer-placed.
