That appears to be the case but maybe there might be a problem with that process.Doesnt the OTA server skip the download, if the vehicle reports the updated versions back? Thought I read that on some other thread.
In April, I took my car in for the glass recalls and they installed a bunch of software including the BlueCruise stuff. However the BlueCruise would not take so I got my car back.
Then in May, the OTAs started flowing again. I got 2.6.0 and perhaps 2.7.1 and then it skipped all the updates that inhibit the car and went to 2.8.2 and 2.8.3. I presume this is because the car reported that it already had the software that corresponds to the 2.7.3 and other skipped Power Ups?
I still don't have BC even though the car says it does so maybe those skipped OTAs are the reason? I asked the dealer if that could be the case and they have no idea. They said all they can do is to keep attempting to install whatever the Ford system will allow for my VIN and hope that eventually the software will load correctly.
