Why would Ford want more complexity in production If they can sell out their battery supply?

The glass roof give

Even 2% off MSRP isn't a couple of thousand until you hit 100k.
I was referring to the person who mentioned the difficulty with a large piece of curved glass for the roof, and it being a popular option. If they would have given the same option for removing the glass roof as those wanting to add it they may have had a zero-sum gain. I just thought if that was a logistical problem with production that it might be easier for people to delete that if it's not something that interests them. My post had nothing to do with batteries.

Our best estimates indicate you are unlikely to see your car before April. There are lots of folks who reserved their cars months in advance (starting November 2019) ahead of you in line -- if they have converted their reservations to orders. Most likely you'll see your car next summer just before the GTs come out.

You can check here for my latest bets on the early reservations:

We really don't have much to go on for the later ones like yours except they'll be behind those customers who've been awaiting their Mach Es for a while. Be glad your got your order in now, though. Word has it that once the dealer demos start to hit the streets they'll be taking orders into 2022!
I may be out in left field here but I'll go with what my dealer said and I should have the car in January or February 2021.

Price of Premium with Infinite Blue Metallic (+$400); standard battery with AWD (+$2700) and interior protection package (+$240) = $51,440. X-Plan is 2% off price (- $1028.80) and -$125.00 administrative fee with the -$1,000 cash incentive =
$2153.80 off the price for a final price of $49,286.20.
The $1000 cash incentive isn't specific to X-Plan. That's just the general Ford incentive currently in effect, that's available whether using X-Plan or not. Although click on it to see the details. It usually expires every month or so, although the $1000 Ford Credit one often just renews each month.

In case of delays and you still want a Mach E earlier - If you are persistent, I am assuming there will be a small number of Mach Es that are ordered and delivered but not purchased at some dealers. Only a few folks so far have actually seen the car in person let alone sit in it or drive it. Some will definitely not want it and not take delivery and those would also be an option. I was going to go that way because my premium reservation is from June and I am expecting it to be delivered next June and I would be planning to bug the heck out of my dealer for any cancelled early orders he received.

Yes, you're right about the incentive. Bottom line is still the same; the X-Plan printout included the $1,000 cash back in it's calculations and I'm paying $2153.80 less than MSRP.

Yep. Roughly a grand for X-Plan and another $1000 for Ford Credit (if using that, and if in effect at the time of purchase). X-Plan could actually be worth a bigger indirect discount too depending on whether the dealer would have otherwise charged a handling fee, which is common in some states. My dealer normally has a $499 D&H fee on all new vehicles, but I think X-Plan caps that at the $125. That should save me an extra $374.

And who knows, maybe an additional incentive may be in effect by the time we actually complete the sale (although that would surprise my for the Mach-E).

But if you purchase someone else's Mach E that they backed out on, DO NOT expect to pay the lowest price. The dealer WILL add a considerable mark-up above the MSRP.

Regarding Plan pricing, is that something I should already see applied under my order or will that be applied once I actually go sign all the paperwork?
