There is a thread about adding neon rope for accent lighting but I don't think many MME owners will try that. I have found an alternative that most of us can do. It doesn't light up at night but stands out brilliantly under most lighting conditions, even a dim glow. Over 95% of my driving is during daylight hours so I get to enjoy the added ambiance for a much longer time than powered lighting would give me. $13 worth is enough to do more than four interiors:

To go around the corners of the instrument panel, I cut out v-sections so that the material would bend.
The included tool is wedged first ahead of the strip to make the installation much easier.
The kit comes with two rolls of the material and two tools. The tool won't fit in the area behind the steering wheel so I put the second tool in a vise and while heating it with a heat gun, bent it to about a 45 degree angle so it could be used in that area.
I used two sections of strips that ran 2" behind the center screen on each side (it can't be seen that it doesn't run all the way across in one piece). The result exceeded my expectations.
