You have warm climate so watch it and walk out and pull out the cable out when it hits 80-90%. Not ideal but works and stops it from going to 100%. You can watch % on fordpass to see when it hits 80.
No kidding on the warm climate, 109 today lol but usually I charge it at night. Last week I told it to stop charging and as some point it overrode it and continued charging. Guess I should have unplugged it but I’ve never had these issues and I’ve had it since February. I tried something another poster suggested and it seemed to work earlier so I’ll see how it does tonight.

I wonder if deleting the ford pass app and redownloading it would change anything? The app seems to recognize and for the first part of charging it does fine, but then somehow throughout the night, it changes, and then starts charging to 100%.
I would take FordPass app out of the process, don’t use it, do all from within the car, delete and add new location after a few minute charge…. Bill P

Mine charges correctly at home but charges to 100% at work. I'm not at work long enough for it to get to 100% but it sometimes will get to 92% 93% before I leave. I'll have to try some of the ideas in this post.

Hope one of the ideas here worked for you. Mine never worked from the beginning so a bit different. When I confirmed it just did not work I plugged in early and forgot the savings off peak. Stop charging would not work here either would reset and charge it to 100%. Pulling it out stop it charging and that was the only way that it would. I would not mess with it too much if not working and you are sure your settings are correct and you tell sync to use those settings. I would set nothing through fordpass do all settings in the car on the car screen. If it still does not work bring it to your dealer and see if they can reproduce it there. There is no rocket science in setting up the schedule you set it and it should just work.

as long as the neighbor is getting the electric bill for your charging I don't see the problem. :p

Hi!
I am needing some advice. I feel like I’ve read and done everything has been suggested and my car is still charging to 100%. First off the gps in the car thinking I’m charging my neighbors house. Previously it has never been my correct address which was fine because it always recognized me at ā€œhomeā€ and did my charging preferences. I have deleted, reset, reentered you name it. It starts by saying I am charging at home (will attach photo below) but then I wake up and it says I’m not charging at home and charges to 100. (Attach second photo) I’m at a loss at what to do.

I’d forget FordPass, forget the car’s charge settings as they’re not sufficiently reliable is what I find, ignore the charge location, mine show my location at another address in the village??ā€ā™‚ and just rely on your charge point timer, Ford Pass will tell you when the car will be fully charged as soon as you plug in, knock a couple of hours off that and set your charger’s timer if you need c90% If you’re going out next day, 100% is fine………is all based upon my experience of around 62,000 miles & 19,000kWh of charge in 2 years.

I’ve tried that. The toggle in the car keeps switching off at some point. I go and check it and it’s toggled off.
I have same issues setting pre-conditioning from the app, given up, just start car from ā€˜phone as soon as I get up when I need to go out?

Different problem departure scheduling thru FP is not a charging schedule but yes that does not work at all. It would be nice to have it in cold weather to precondition the batteries (remote start does nothing). That has been broke since last November here and still is.

Sometimes it works, not very often, it’s shopping trolley syndrome, car does what it likes, goes where it wants when it wants and how it wants - makes for exciting ownership, never know what’s going to happen next and how?

When it is hit and miss you can safely say that it does not work at all. When you do something the software should come back with the same result every time. This cars software certainly does not do that. This car has its good days and its bad days depending on how corrupted the software is on any given day. Guess it is harder for me to be happy about all that good excitement. I am happier when my tech just works consistently.

I had a similar issue when I bought my 2022 last year. I tried everything you mentioned and sometimes it would work and sometimes it would not and the car would charge to 100%. By chance, did you setup your home address in your navigation system in the car? Ultimately, I fixed my problem by deleting the "home" setting in the charge settings in the car and FordPass. I then set my "home" address in navigation system. I then charged the car; once the charge was complete, I setup the "home" address in charge settings letting the car use GPS settings to set the location. I haven't had a problem after that in my 2022; I setup my 2023 like that from the beginning and have no issues with it other than when an OTA sometimes changes default setting following an update. I don't know if this will work for your MME but it might be worth trying. Good luck.
So far this suggestion seems to have worked! Thank you

Huh, so setting the home address in the navigation is a requirement before the charger will associate the location with the home charge limit…

I’m not sure it’s a requirement because I’ve never needed it before. I just always had it set In case I used the Navigation but somehow resetting it to the ā€œcurrent locationā€ vs putting in my address seemed to do it
