So I had some real thin nylon string laying around and I said let me go try this and I actually did it on my driver side, not the passenger side, I’m not sure if the passenger side operates different from the driver side, but man that thing open very easy I hardly had to pull on that string I believe only pulled one time. I had the keys far enough away and you could hear it starting to beep a little bit inside the car and then about 10 seconds later the horn started going off.
Before or after they get the next batch of NACS adapters out?

I was thinking more along the lines of what a great news story this would make for Car & Driver, Jalopnik, Motor Trend, etc.
Like myself, not having a garage no option really for that. But the fact that you have a garage, I mean they’re not gonna hotwire your car unless there’s something in the car and they can get through your garage on a break-in you leave your windows open all the time if you lock your garage. I know my neighbor has a Corvette and he leaves the top down in his garage 24 seven so I’m just saying.
Mach-Lee definitely MacGyver’d this work around! Lee deserves a lot of credit for coming up with this emergency door opening idea. Go figure, a low tech temporary fix for a high tech problem. Thank you Lee.

It’s too damn hot outside right now to get out there and just mess around unnecessarily, but I was trying to run a string inside out the back and have it kind of hidden somewhere back there, but the door option showed is actually the easiest way to go. It works.
