@Jessnyc

The next time you intend to drive the car do a Battery Management System reset prior to departing.

Press the start button without depressing the brake pedal so you're in accessory mode.

Using the left hand turn signal stalk flash the high beams 5 times, and then depress the brake pedal 3 times and observe the red battery icon on the instrument cluster cycling 3 times. Press the start button to turn the car back off. And then Start the car as normal and drive.

See if that helps.

I've gotten those messages and I see no rhyme nor reason for them. Once I got a message after not using the car for a day. Later, after I didn't use the car for two weeks, I got no message. I have nothing plugged in. I see nothing that can be a power drain. These messages simply make no sense to me, but I get other messages that make no sense. I''ll have the dealer check the battery soon, just in case.

Following up on my earlier post regarding 12 volt batteries. Two weeks ago I got a 12 volt battery system fault message - seek service soon message. Took the car in Thursday afternoon and got it back yesterday. The work order state that the battery is good. The message was caused by CC-42. They reset the BMS and verified the SOC.
They also reprogrammed the HVAC module to cure a recall,
Replaced parking brake connector - recall
Reprogrammed the battery charge control module - recall
And reprogrammed the PCM, SOBDM, SOBDMC, AND ABS to current rev levels. And cleared the DTC.
My take-a-way is that instead taking an ICE vehicle in for a tune-up, we may be faced with taking our EV in for a module rev level update.
BTW my Mach-e is an early 22 with 16,000 miles and this was my first trip to the dealer since delivery.

I don’t think it’s just a coincidence that the 12v batteries are now 2-3 years old and we have a ton of these threads popping up.

I don’t remember this being an issue in the last few years.

My guess is a lot of people have 12v batteries “on their way out.” And the car is just warning you that you have to charge it more often.

It matters because a dead 12v can leave you stranded and in need of a tow. Not just a simple “get a jump start from a friend” and keep driving situation.
That doesn’t seem right. @Ford Motor Company was quite confident that the 12v battery would never need to be replaced, which is why they made it so hard to access.

I have also gotten the System Off To Save Battery message several times in the past month. Also one instance of audio amp freak out.

My car is at about 32 months and 40k miles. I drive it almost every day. Usually only for 15-20 minutes at a time a few times a day (commuting and errands and stuff) but a longer road trip once a month or so. I have no accessories plugged into my car and I’m not leaving lights on. It is parked overnight in a garage. I charge it twice a week, keeping the HVB between 30 and 80%.
