Anyone else tired of flooring it when the traffic signal changes to green?

Meh been driving EVs for a while now and my CA Rt1 isn't as fast as everyone else's Mach-E's so.

Sure I've done it a few times showing off the car to family and friends but mostly don't as I got all that "instant accel" fun done with the Focus Electric and the Bolt (the Focus really didn't have much, however, as it was tuned down a bit but the Bolt was only slightly slower (6.5s to 60 vs 6.1s to 60) than my Mach-E).

The more I drive the Mach-E the more I realize that, at least the CA Rt1 one, it is really designed to cruise and not sprint.

that's not really that surprising though to me - I mean that's kind of tied to the longer range, right?

my Fusion Energi is absolutely low-end electric for the electric part but even then the instant torque is nice. as I said on here before, it makes it a bit of a sleeper, since nobody expects a Fusion to take off immediately off the line. it's not a sports car but it's also not a pokey car. I suspect that's true for your Focus as well (not the Bolt necessarily)?

Yup: Just yesterday my charge to 90% read 268 miles (so adding another 10%--or 27 miles--yields 295 miles and we still haven't hit "warm" out).

It is so much fun to burn rubber out of the gate but I do have to watch it otherwise tickets will be coming
That's another nice thing about the Mach E. No loud revving sounds, no burnt rubber, just quietly and effectively ahead of the rest of the pack.

I'm just waiting for the warning message on your display: "Warning - you are driving a CA Rt. 1 and are not in CA. Results are not guaranteed. Refer to Owner's Manual." (*)

(*) yes, Canucks, we know, CA could also be CA. We're not talking to you. ???

I would have expected to see that the first time I drove it in snow* ! ;)

*Yes I know there is snow in CA but that is up in the mountains and Michigan is decidedly mountain-less.

Anyone notice if it is less snappy as the batter percent goes down? I can’t figure out if it is in my head but it doesn’t seem to pull as hard when the percent gets below 80%
It's the battery.

Actually the more pancakes I have, and thus the higher my batter percentage, the less snappy I get. ?

Sir I am sorry but your maths are costing you a few miles.

90% / 100% = 268 miles / full battery miles

So full battery miles is 268 / 0.9 = 298 miles. :)

I think I got someone a ticket the other day by flooring it. I took off up to 49 (in a 45), and the guy I left in my dust must have felt emasculated in his Impala, because he caught up, passed me on the right, and pulled into my lane, just show me who was boss, I guess. About 10 seconds later, a township Police Interceptor was in front of me and after him.

Flooring it too many times will wear out your tires quicker. At least if you have on Pirellis like the GT performance will. Had to get new ones with only 9500 miles on. Got the Michelins 4S. I still punch especially if alone.

I have the slowest Mach-E possible and still am really fast. Although I do want more speed sometimes. But I also couldn't justify an extra $3000 for "sometimes I'll want to floor it".

Maybe when my options is up I'll turn it in for a 2025 GT version or something
