I noticed all the dealers have a $1,000 USD fee baked in to the order page. Has anyone successfully had this reduced? Paying MSRP is brutal enough.

Cheers

Not sure what fee you’re talking about. Can you post a screenshot?

No problem, Once you pick a dealer to buy it through, you will see a 1k charge for Dealer Handling / destination fee. I put the order through every dealer in town and it auto generates the same value.

Yeah, it would be those charges LOL. I'm just curious if anyone was able to get these reduced. My x plan will negate it but....paying MSRP already.
No. Every vehicle manufacturer charges a destination fee to transport it from the factory. It’s not negotiable.

It's a bullshit fee. Rather than charge you up front they bury it.

It's the same thing as being quoted $69.99 for cable and finding a $12 broadcast fee when you actually get the bill. It's negotiable, just like anything else, although you won't have much power to get it removed on this car or in this market.

In the interest of full disclosure, I've never even tried to get it removed.

I had it removed on my Land Rover LR4, but just like the mach e they don't really budge from the sticker price so you are getting rooked anyway.

I suspect they didn't remove it, but rather shifted other numbers around so that it was effectively removed from the grand total... i.e., normal car buying negotiation stuff.

Since you're thinking of using X-plan to purchase a Mustang Mach-E, you won't have any negotiation room in any of the manufacturer's vehicle pricing aspects. But you do have wiggle room on certain dealer sides of the transaction and that's where you may be able to squeeze some dollars here or there.

The negotiable items are stuff like dealer add-ons (tint, different wheels/tires, etc), extended service plans, and value of your trade-in.

Why do you think X plan negates destination and delivery?

Also if you're paying MSRP you're not getting X-plan, are you?

I get the X-plan discount. Which is $1100. The DD charge is also $1100 Net is 0. So, i'm paying MSRP

That's kind of a convoluted and not really accurate way to think about it. Total MSRP includes the D&D $1100, and X-plan is less than MSRP.
