Rotate them whenever you want - I swap summer/winter wheels every season so I just rotate at that time. I don't think I've had the same set of tires on a car for 10k continuous miles in a long time.
That said, the job is easy. You need a jack meant for heavy vehicles, and a puck or 2x4 chunk to make sure you are getting a good seat on the jack point is helpful. I do recommend a torque wrench, and since the car wants 150 ft. lbs. of torque you may need one larger than you currently have.
But really it is no different than any other vehicle of a similar weight. If you're last car was a Honda Civic then get a bigger jack and torque wrench. If you've done wheels on a pickup truck then you are probably fine already.
