Hello everyone. I just got my Mach E, and to my surprise the audio system is not working at all. Radio, car play, Bluetooth audio, nothing works. Has anyone faced this issue ?

thank you.
Joao.

Was it working when you picked up the car? Did you try to reset the Sync4 system?

Never worked. At the dealership when they were explaining the whole system, at the very end they said the sound system was not working and they weren’t sure why! :-(

And they did not try to trouble shoot before giving you the car?

They said they tried troubleshooting before. They knew about the issue but never told me. They said they tried resetting everything, master reset and nothing brought the audio back. I was really upset, but it was very late at night so I decided to trust them that they will reach out to Ford to figure out what to do. Meanwhile I figured I’d poke around to see if anyone faced this issue.
seems I’m the lucky one, huh?

I understand.... I probably would have done the same. Hope they figure out what’s wrong

Does the heater, AC etc work??.......this type of thing happened in my c max......all audio stuff stopped working, but heater, AC still worked, seemed when the 12v was losing it's charge, the car shut down non essentials to save charge......Ford did all kinds of work to correct......after doing this for months, I took all the crap out of the glove box, thinking the light was left on.....after that no problems.......of course I don't think your glove box is over filled, but maybe it has to do with the 12v losing charge????.....maybe have your dealer check the charge on your 12v battery.......I may be coming out of Mars with this, but who knows????.......wworth a try if nothing else is working......take care...

Maybe check fuse #22 for the amplifier. It's in the owner's manual:

FuseBox.PNG
I thought of that, but when I read the manual I didn't find anything indicating the sound fuse. But now that you mentioned #22, which is the amplifier that makes sense. Good catch.

It is very hard to reach this fuse box. Man they made it difficult.

Wow what kind of dealer is that.. Delivering a car that has something not working and can't explain it.....
I know right??? I was really frustrated. But it was so late, and I have spent 3+ hours in the dealership. I just wanted to go home.
Dealerships really need to upskill their paper work, it just too much to sit 3+ hours to get a car... :-(

I would not have driven it home. to me working audio is more important than the car itself. the dealer should have not released it. then again, neither should have Ford.

So, you are unable to perform the reset procedure for Sync4?
How about diagnostic mode? Are you able to get to that screen?
