A few reviewers included brief mentions like sounds great. I saw nothing negative about it.

I'm pretty sure it will be fine, but as it is such a prominent feature, I thought it may get a bit more love. :)
I guess it's more important about how it looks then how it sounds. Bring headphones.

Just kidding, I'm sure it'll be great! I listened in a couple of the preproduction cars but the environment was all messed up... The car was inside a showroom, typically at least one door was open, etc. It sounded a little bass biased to me, but otherwise good.

I just think it is interesting that they don’t show one speaker or tweeter, etc in the promo. Just a bunch of people seriously thumbing through fabrics. I thought there would be an interior mock-up of the car in one of those rooms with all the angled foam on the walls or something. They could be designing a couch and you would hardly know the difference.

Like eating a great steak in an outhouse or eating Durian. 😂 I had the same experience BTW. Inside a showroom with the doors open. Since for me the sound system is most important when on longer drives, cabin noise is more important then the particulars of the sound system. This one should be fine.

I was really surprised by the quality of the sound system when I got a chance t listen to it at the road show. I brought my phone and connected up via Android Auto and spent at least ten minutes listening to my music on Spotify.

"Really surprised" could be either of these.

The quality of the stereo ranks among the least of my priorities when I'm buying a car. During the test-drive, I think I turn it on to make sure it works. When I checked out the MME during the road trip tour, I tested it with some Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me. It was great.

I listened to the stereo playing some planned test songs from the Mach E Playlist on Spotify. Dynamite bass, great channel separation. It was crisp and clear. I think audiophiles will be happy, especially considering how quite it is inside the car when driving.
