I travel a lot in the Bay Area and stay at different hotels each month. I usually drive my MME or Tesla Model 3, so I favor hotels that have EV charging. Some of them don't apply a fee for Level 2 charging. I thought it might be useful to start a thread on this, in case anyone else is planning a trip:
  1. The Lodge at Tiburon (self charging using Tesla Wall Charger)
  2. Hyatt Centric, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco (valet parking only)
  3. The Lodge at Cavallo Point (valet parking)
I'm sure there are many other hotels that offer free charging, at least for now. Anyone else care to add to my list?

Thanks; I suspect most of us use Plugshare already. But Plugshare often doesn't include much detail about the charging location, including whether they charge anything for a charge. This thread is for people with actual experience charging at Bay Area hotels.

How does the Tesla Wall Charger work for MME? Do you need to bring an adapter? One hotel told me "bring your own cord" - I don't know that that means. Are they offering 240V plugs I guess?

Yes, it means either:
  1. They have Tesla Level 2 chargers and you'll need an adapter to charge your MME, or
  2. They have 240-volt plugs and you'll need to bring your mobile charger.
Either way, you're in good shape. I use a TeslaTap Mini adapter rated for 60 amps and it works like a charm at all Tesla Level 2 chargers.

Can you recommend a place to get a Tesla mini tap?
