Silly question but just wanted to confirm...

If you have BC installed (and actually working)...

If you're on a non-BC road, do you still have adaptive cruise control & lane centering available ? (as we have pre-BC)

Does it require hands on wheel AND eye nanny, or just hands on wheel?

Thanks!

hands on AND eye nanny. Once you have blue cruise, any cruising comes with the eye nanny.

So far, I haven’t found the eye nanny to be as annoying as some here have found it. Just sayin’.

That is unfortunate. The eye nanny shouldn't come into play unless hands free was active IMO...
I guess I will worry about that some other time. "Eye Nanny" is the least of my concerns with this car at the moment....

its tough to argue though… technically it’s “the right thing” to do to promote safe driving practices

"Eye Nanning" is a GOOD thing! You should NEVER take your eyes off the road when you have Cruise control or Blue cruise active. You need to be ready to take over at anytime. Computers can crash and make errors.

Been using Tesla's Autopilot for 4 years and Fords Copilot for 1.5 years and Blue crusie for 2 months. Plenty of mistakes all 3 make to always warrant paying attention.

My issue with the non-BC roads is that when I put my hand in the 12 or 1 position it sometimes blocks the eye nanny view of my eyes and then it yells at me. Outside of that I have no issues. I find it works quite well.

Of note - on the F-150L, the cameras are in the A pillar and the side of the big screen, so this is not an issue.

Proper driving technique is 10 and 2 ... ;)

As annoying as this sounds, I actually haven’t found it to be an issue. Not even once. When I’m cruising on roads where BC isn’t available, I really can’t get away with not keeping my eyes on the roads.

You don’t even get a subtle warning unless you take eyes off for 7 seconds.

I guess I spend too much time searching the fields for deer. Both to know of the dumb animals are going to try and run into the road, and as scouting for fall. Eye nanny gets me a lot. But then I generally drive roads that have no traffic at the time I’m on them.

I get the hands on the wheel warning sometimes when my hands are on the wheel! Must be my featherlight touch.

I get this ALL the time... just have to give it another tighter squeeze and it goes away...but find it annoying
