Best Dog Rear Seat Cover

After what seems like a lifetime of searching, I finally found the best dog seat cover on the market. Yes, you can find cheaper seat covers, but none fit or protect as well as this one.

The PetSafe Happy Ride Quilted Dog Seat Cover fits the Mustang Mach-E back seat like a glove. I've literally tried every brand out there, and this one is the best!

As you can see, my Rhodesian Ridgeback loves it. But he does want Ford to implement Pet Mode as soon as possible, please!

The covers that also fit over the front headrests are far superior IMO. Not only do they keep the car cleaner they are also a lot safer for the dog as you brake.

We went with the OEM seat covers from Ford and they’ve done a great job keeping the pet hair off And are a breeze to clean.

Yes, exactly. My pooch goes in the trunk on trips and this cover does a great job keeping the back of the seats protected.

My Ridgeback is too big to fit in the trunk, so he rides in the back seat. He fits fine in my son's Ford Edge, however.

This is one reason I hope Ford soon makes a larger SUV-EV. Wouldn't it be great to have an EV Edge or Explorer? I'm sure they're coming one of these years!

I've tried a few also and ended up with the following product. It fits the best out of many I tried, it has zip-up sides to contain pet hair for easier clean and to keep pets from messing up your door cards, it comes with passthrough connectors to attach a pet harness to a seat belt buckle, AND it's rather water resistant and easy to clean.

Plus the gray is a decent match to the gray interior option.

Also would like to see some picturees of your covers in action.

For trips I was thinking of putting the seats down and letting our German Shepherd roam around in the trunk/ back seat area. It becomes flat when you fold seats down vs when the seats are up it seems there is a very large bolster/ angle so I'd imagine laying down might be uncomfortable?

Quick note to say that I’m returning the PetSafe cover. It was great for our dog but not for our kids. It has metal attachment points and whatnot that dig into their upper backs - totally uncomfortable.

Was pretty straightforward getting them on. Only trick is to pull up the rear bench completely.

@FordMotorCompany keeps issuing OTA updates that feature more video games for the car. I'd guess most of us don't use those. But we would use Pet Mode nearly every day! What do we have to do to make that happen??!
