Blank purple infotainment screen while car is off?

Well here’s a new one. Walked out to the garage and the infotainment screen was on in the car, but blank. Went away when I opened the door. Anybody else ever see this?

Yup, I was going to make a post about it and never got around to it. Car had been parked for about 30 minutes or so. I went outside to get something and noticed the screen was on. My phone was no where close and my fob is in a bag in a safe on the other end of the house.

I went out again maybe 30 minutes or so to put the stuff up and the screen was off. /shrug...

Seems like this is another source of LVB drain like they IPC TSB, not sure how you would fix this though.

What’s your update schedule set at?

Mine is set for Friday night… by my choice; possibly you set yours to that as well?

Mine is set to 9pm every night of the week plus automatic updates.

This morning I had 2.4.1, so maybe the purple ghost screen yesterday evening was tied to that? Dunno.

@Kabish did you get the OTA after your purple screen as well?

Nope, at least not that I'm aware of. I kind of wondered the same thing, car was powering up SYNC to allow an install to go through. I never saw any notification saying an update was installed or attempted to install.
