Is this an issue with my car or the charging stations? Should I take it in? I typically use the provided Ford charger at home in 240 outlet. Last month, while traveling- I could not find a charger that would work. I went to 5 different charging stations and got the red blinking ring in the charger port light on all of them. “Charge Failed” Some were 50kw some were 200kw, Francis Energy and ChargePoint stations. The 6th station finally worked - thank goodness because a tow truck was going to be my next call. I read on this forum that the red blinking light means “internal GFCI trip” I know what that means on an outlet, but not a car.
—- tonight I got the red blinking light at home- after charging for an hour. It restarted no problem.
Do I need to take it in?? My dealer is very nice, but “Aw Shucks, Ma’am, we’re going to need to keep it a week to figure out what’s going on. We just don’t get many of these…”
Doesn’t give me much confidence.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
