Yes, I turned off P&C after hearing about issues with people getting charged and it worked fine at the EA charger this AM.

So without plug and charge activated you can just pull in and plug and charge it free without any account set up ?!

You can also do it this weekend WITH P&C enabled. I've already done it twice since last night (and I've had P&C enabled since February). When you get to the station there will be a message about it being a free weekend. Press the "close" button, and then it will take you to a screen telling you to just plug in. After plugging in there is a short negotiation with the car, and then it tells you to confirm the session. You will also get a screen where you can enter your phone number so the charger can notify when it's done or if the session stopped prematurely
