Blue Cruise is useless if it can't take a curve

Just for a bit of context, the ever controversial Sandy from the Munro Live YouTube channel tried out BlueCruise. Watch Here

In this video it was revealed that in it's current state if a curve is deemed "too tight" the system makes you put your hands on anyway. (In the video it really didn't look like a tight curve at all) This is not something Tesla FSD Does. As far as I know GM's super cruise doesn't do that either.

Being the pot-stirrer that I am I think we need to draw the attention of @Ford Motor Company to this. We don't want to be paying $600 for a "hands free" feature that's not even hands free.

As soon as the software rolls out we know there are going to be at least 5 threads full of people complaining about this. So we might as well get ahead of the curve and tell Ford this needs to be addressed before it's an issue.. right?

Like I said... Pot stirrer ?

One for each model of Mach-E?
Ha ha ha exactly!

But really no. I'm not here to simply start a duplicate for no reason. I just wanted a thread that got more direct to the point to get Ford's attention.

Idk about anyone else but I'd rather them release late, then give us something that's got a half baked band aid built in

I agree it's very disappointing. After seeing that video I've started to dig into what it would take to get Comma,AI 3.0 and OpenPilot working on the MME and F150.

Here's some magical Tesla thinking when it comes to curves, too. (Second video.) I'd say this is more a technological limitation of the day than any one car company.

Watching that video, it looked like the Ford rep was about to shed a little more light, but Sandy cut him off.

It sounded like he was about to say they were going to wait for the adaptive speed feature to take curves. Do we know if this is the case?

You want this safety feature... If you want to take a curve at high speeds and not worry about the stability of the car, then go buy the Tesla you're talking about. Do you have any idea how hard it is to design something with safety in mind and still be able to please everyone? Or would you rather wait until someone dies and then throw in some safety protocols?

I'd say it's more worthless if we don't have it!

But if we want to complain, I mean discuss the merits, let's go ahead.

Isn't it desirable that it asks you to take over if it cannot safely make the turn itself? Isn't that the point?

We need to complain and draw attention to a feature that we haven't tried yet?
If I'm not mistaken, the OP doesn't even have a Mach E yet. So there's that...
