I already had BC when I went in. Got it in an OTA late last year I think. I specifically asked if it was the update and they said yes, but the advisors have been wrong before. lol.

The battery contact issue is TWB 22-2143 to be specific. They have to replace the e-parking brake connecters at the wheels.

have over 81k miles and it was time for front brakes.... glad I have ford premium maintenance which is covering the brakes.
I’ve also got BlueCruise but I’ve had the recall outstanding for at least 6 months.

I've had BC for well over a year, but still have the 21G01 bulletin for it listed for my VIN

Yes. There's a TSB and CSP for that. But it's not a recall.

After an update I lost the Frunk control, along with window controls, on my Fordpass app. Anyone else still have it? 2021 GTPE

Hi owners! The Ford BlueCruise 1.3 software update is coming soon to Mustang Mach-Es equipped with BlueCruise and we want to make sure you are getting all of the latest and greatest new features and improvements like this delivered to your vehicle.

As a friendly reminder make sure you:
  1. Have Automatic Software Updates turned ON – this keeps updates coming as they roll out.
  2. Set a Recurring Schedule – software updates may happen seamlessly in the background while you are driving, while others may require you to park and exit your vehicle so set the schedule for a time when you know you won’t need to drive the vehicle, like overnight.
Below is a quick step-by-step and here is a video of how to do this and some things to know about software updates on your vehicle.

How-To Guide:
Turn ON Automatic Software Updates
  • Go to ā€œSettingsā€ on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
  • Choose ā€œSoftware Updatesā€
  • Toggle ā€œAutomatic Updatesā€ to ON
Set a Recurring Schedule
  • Go to ā€œSettingsā€ on your vehicle’s SYNC screen
  • Choose ā€œSoftware Updatesā€
  • Press ā€œSchedule Updatesā€ or ā€œRecurring Update Scheduleā€
Things to Know:
  • Don’t skip your Ford Power-Up software updates – this impacts all future updates
  • If an update requires you to be parked, you will receive a reminder in your vehicle (24 hours prior) and in your FordPass App. You can reschedule up to 2 mins before the update begins.
  • Software updates are not deployed to all vehicles at the same time and are done on a rolling basis – for example, your neighbor might get an update before you do.
  • While not required, we recommend connecting to Wi-Fi for an improved update experience. If Wi-Fi is not available, your update will be delivered using the built-in cellular connection with your vehicle modem.
So, turn ON your Automatic Software Updates, set your schedule and let the updates roll in!
Anyone got this already?

Dear Ford,

On July 31 you said "coming soon". You said "Make sure your updates are enabled!!!"

All of August went by.

Today is September 9th.

I have no idea what your idea of "soon" is, but my idea of "soon" is less than 5 weeks.

Sure, like, maybe some EA peeps would get it in one week. Another week for a few more. And everyone's covered by 4 and 5 weeks.

Here we are in September with no one getting Jack.

You need to apologize about getting our hopes up, and explain what's going on, and update with when we'll get some BC 1.3. I'd really love an update; BC has its scary moments.

Thanks.

Just an FYI it won’t be one update. If it’s anything like last time it will be more like 6 or 7 over the course of 2 weeks.

@bbulkow, totally agree with you. Ford’s definition of soon is ridiculous.
Considering my last automaker pretty much abandons their cars after the next model year comes out (the only update I got later was to convert (in software!) the modem from 3g to LTE, because 3g was going away, and there was 911 functionality tied to the modem), i'm actually looking forward to this. (a really long "soon" beats "never").

Have both on my 21 GTPE and think I'm current on the updates

I figured out this is because there’s an revised update for the CMR and Power steering module that’s part of BC, I didn’t have it done when I went in cause I’m sure it will come with 1.3 and didn’t wanna leave my car for a while

I'm already running the latest CMR and PSM software available for my car. But 21G01 still shows up.

First, it depends on how long really long is, in my book. If we're waiting for this update in mid-24, it's too long. I am *very* interested in this update because having my car "dive to the right" when I release the wheel is pretty frightening, but otherwise I'm a big BC fan.

Second, Ford made a point of posting in this forum, in this thread, all the excitement and saying "soon". They didn't have to do that. They specifically said "get your car update ready!". They didn't have to do that.

If they want to come across and build a reputation as a good communicator and a trusty brand (unlike the T company), good for them! It would be welcome (and compared to the super sketchy dealer network we interact through). They've built positive brand equity with me by giving me money back after the price drops early this year, when they didn't have to.

Shit happens with software updates! I know that more than most people. They've got a safety investigation about HVBJB to contend with? They've got some other problems? It's cool, I understand, I'm sure there's a way to say it by a professional communications person that's smooth and professinal.

Building that reputation means POSTING A FOLLOWUP.

Hope you're listening, Ford! Reputation is bleeding away as we speak.

(Alternately, Ford could have posted that to get its poor quarterly sales numbers out of the doghouse, and it was all... marketing. It's hard to tell incompetence from malice 99% of the time. Say it ain't so, Ford.)
