I expect we'll get the "BC 1.3 release cancelled in favor of BC 1.4 by end of year" message soon.

Sigh. Road trip planned for Thursday (after official “end of summer!”) and it would have been sooooo nice to have had this :(

Rough transcript from a recent meeting at Ford's headquarter:

CEO: What is Tesla doing that they have such loyal fanatics?

Strategist: Well sir, from our analysis, the only thing we can think off is that ELON makes wild promises with unrealistic timelines. This give the fanbase a sliver of hope that they'll get something if they keep coming back. Like a slot machine. Can't payout all the time, but once in a while is enough to keep people coming back.

CEO: Great. Let's release an update that says "bluecruise 1.3" coming soon. Keep it vague. We'll keep increasing the update number, with no real material updates. The update is the announcement itself.

My car seems to have stalled with the updates.... The last numbered update was 4.2.6. Then received 23-PU0110-RAD-PS and 23-PU0314-DCM-LAT. Nothing since.... I have 22 premium AWD ER.

I wouldn't expect much now. Ford has their hands full just trying to cover for those not showing up. And it's looking like it may be that way for a while.
Ford DevOps engineers joining the picket line? Solidarity forever it seems :p

The UAW is striking certain production plants — assembly, stamping, paint etc. Software development isn’t involved. Yet.

If you have a 22 and are not in early access then you are up to date. The 4.3.x updates seem to have only gone to early 2021 cars that didn’t ship with BlueCruise. 5.1.1 is only an early access update so far, and even then not every EA car has gotten it.

This is embarrassing for @Ford Motor Company. 49 days since they posted this. Wow...
Yeah, I think we all agree that a little communication would go a long ways here. Seems like somethings up.

If they found an issue and are fixing it before the rollout of the BC OTA begins then just say so.
