i found success by physically turning the lights from auto to off before shutting down the car and locking the doors.

I took the car for a drive to fully charge the 12V, turned headlamps to OFF, and turned off the welcome lighting. And the 2.7.2 update installed with no issues... other than the ones previously reported by others (radio presets reset, etc).

I got 2.7.4 on Tuesday, May 31 and last night saw I had 2.8.1 queued up. So, 2 weeks for me, though it doesn't show that it automatically updated last night at 1 AM when I have it scheduled. Will take it for a drive at lunch to see if that kicks in the update.

Maybe it hasn't fully downloaded yet. Is your status in the widget (if you use it) still "artifact retrieval"?
