BlueCruise hands-free stopped working

I seem to no longer have the full hands-free version of BlueCruise. Roads where it was working now give me only the hands-on-the-wheel version. I know there’s a huge thread here about paying for hands-free, but my 2021, which was delivered in December 21, came with (I think) three years of BlueCruise. I didn’t get any notice that it was expiring, and it’s only been a little over two years.

So is something broken or what?

This has gone from bad to ridiculously bad:

I checked the expiration date as advised (Thanks, @Mach-Lee !), and sure enough it was mid-last month. So I called my dealer, and they said there’s a problem with that TSB. Ford has decided to discontinue the hands-free feature on the Mach-E, so it can’t be fixed.

So either
a) This dealer knows something that would be headline news if it became public knowledge, or
b) This dealer has no idea what they’re talking about.

Choosing option b, I’ve asked to talk to the service manager directly. I will post further when I hear from him.

😄 Ford has not discontinued BlueCruise on the Mach-E...

That TSB is still current as of today, they incorrectly think they can't do any updates regarding BlueCruise because of 21G01 (BlueCruise updates for Job 1 cars that never had it) is still on hold. Your car already had working BlueCruise so that doesn't apply. They need to do TSB 23-2122, there are no problems with it or restrictions from Ford on it. Time to get more pushy or go to a different dealer.

Good news: The service manger did call me, and fully understood the situation. They’re going to go through the process described in the TSB in a couple of weeks.

Until then, I guess it’s the ankle weight for me…
