You just gotta get there at park open.

Guardians is awesome, probably the best ride at WDW now. I was able to ride a couple times during previews. The boarding group is kind of the luck of the draw. But I do know that the option to buy Individual Lightning Lane option does stay available longer, and thereā€™s also more that get released at 7:12 AM cause thatā€™s when the ones people canceled get put back into the system. I know it sucks to have to pay, but itā€™s worth to do it at least first time.

Also sorry for hijacking the thread with Disney stuff lol
Well hijacked.

I like it but I have observed that Blue Cruise is migrating towards the right side of the lane too much. Had to manually intervene this weekend to pull it back towards center of the lane after it got dangerously close to car on right. Everyone inside the car was quite awake afterwards.

BlueCruise is a toy. It's cool, and it's fun to try it out. But it can not be trusted. Ever.

Worth it? Yes, for me the entertainment value was worth it. Also kind of interesting to experience first-hand how far away the big auto companies are from practical, safe automated driving. It'll happen, but not soon.
its too unreliable to be handsfree imo.

How many trips have you taken with your car? Do you ever drive a multiday trip doing say 500 - 600 miles a day?

We have taken 4 or 5 trips of one to two days each way with our Mach-Es, the last one with BlueCruise. Handsfree driving is more relaxing, you end up at the end of the day less tired. Of course pre-BlueCruise letting the car steer while you keep your hands on the wheel is also less tiring than driving without the driving aids.

I'm not worried about being deal or crippled by the system... o_O #hyperbole
My biggest gripe is when a car from another lane moves in front of you. When I am in control I just let off the gas and slow my momentum. Blue Cruise/Cruise is blind until the car is in front of you and then it slams the brakes. They need lots of work on that, IMHO.

Blue Cruise is like giving a 12 year old a learners permit. You need to pay more attrntion, not less. Proceed at your own peril.

Yeah, but they are also premium spots right next to the gates, so itā€™s worth the cost, ends up being cheaper than what they charge for premium parking
That Epcot parking section though... šŸ˜‹ Now I just need to move to Florida! *Disney nerd here* @ScottMcCool, are you using the Atomic Clock for your virtual queue? I don't think we've ever missed a reservation using it, start refreshing at 6:59 and 55 seconds.

I did not option Blue Cruise with my GTPE, I hate that Ford makes you get the glass roof in order to get that option. We have hail where I live regularly, I didn't want to mess around with replacing that glass. So I'm not one of the BC cool kids, but as others have said, if you still have to be super engaged, I don't really see the point. Maybe it would be nice to eat a sandwich? But overall, I don't think I'll know what I'm missing.

Conclusion: This is a good system with all the safety considerations, but it is not a FULL SELF DRIVING (this is at best at Level 2+++), it will require your attention albeit under a much less stressful situation ...you can now pick your nose...or scratch you know what ... if your significant other doesn't berates as mine did ... If you are fortunate enough to have BlueCruise then use it wisely and safely ... you will enjoy it !!!
My wife flipped out the first time I used it, but now she doesn't care

Hail large enough to damage the glass roof will make your car's sheet metal look like a golf ball. Quite possibly resulting in your insurance company declaring the vehicle a total loss.

You are still in control. You notice the car merging long before the MME reacts. Plenty of time to toggle the cruising speed down slightly slowing your momentum. Then the MME wonā€™t brake as sharply When it ā€˜seesā€™ the merging car. Your speed and following distance will adjust to the new circumstances.. Toggle the speed back after the car has slowed and the MME will increase your speed when curcumstances allow.

Cars merging into larger gaps donā€™t require this, but this works when someone squeezes into a smaller gap

Similarly you will notice you are approaching a traffic backup before the car does. Toggling down the cruising speed will smooth the transition to stop & go or slower traffic.

I love that interactions with the adaptive CC and BC donā€™t force the systems to disengage as other manufacturerā€™ driver aides sometimes do. If an 18 wheeler is too close we can move the MME to the opposite side of the lane then let BC take control back. When you want to take control of the steering wheel in an uncomfortable situation itā€™s easy to do.

I just read through this thread and was getting ready to post my perspective. But you saved me some time because you stated the points I intended to make about Blue Cruise. I know it is not self-driving and I know it goes in and out depending on the driving environment. However, I am loving it so far, even with its warts. Iā€™ve had Blue Cruise since May 5th and I have been on 2 long road trips. I can say without hesitation that I was far less fatigued on both road trips. I expect to stay alert and drive my car. Frankly, I am fine if it goes out several times along the way, I was still far more relaxed at the end of my trips than the last time I made the same trips without Blue Cruise. Just my thoughts.

I have a 22 GT with the BlueCruise and I don't see what all the fuss is about this feature.
Lets see car with No BlueCruise = seated behind the wheel looking straight ahead paying attention to the road, hands on the wheel.
Car with BlueCruise = seated behind the whee looking straight ahead paying attention to the road, hands 4 inches from the wheel.
How is this so freaking earth shattering you have to sit there anyway and they want you to pay them for this, so what's the big deal.
Plus one little hiccup with the system and you could be dead or crippled.
I don't think so!
That's me too. I know some people love it, and that's fine. For me, it actually makes me MORE nervous that just steering myself. I've been steering cars for 50 years, and find it easy and natural. But with BC/LC, I feel like I have to stay on edge to re-engage fast at any second. I find it more relaxing just to stay in steer mode.

Plus the center of the lane is often the roughest part of the road. I'm frequently making tiny adjustments around the cracks, potholes, and rough spots to make the ride more comfortable. I also like to swing wide in the lane when passing vehicles just to be safer, especially semis.

I will kick on lane-centering when I need to blow my nose or something, but only for like 30 seconds when there's no car next to me. But that's it. Otherwise I just prefer to steer myself. I know I'm in the minority though, especially since the "cool tech factor" is hard to resist.

But I use ACC heavily. The speed control is great. It's just the auto-steering I don't like.
