@Ford Motor Company I have not been able to use EA for plug and Charge or activate the EA stations using the ford pass app. I bought a Demo Mach E in August and was originally told the dealership activated the Blue Oval network and EA charging bundle under a different customer's account and then canceled it. I'm assuming the EA services for my Vin are still connected to that account and that's why it will show up on my account. I have had a case number with Ford for almost 6 months and still haven't gotten any answers.
Ah, the famous "case number"...

I am afraid of the answer as it looks like at least 3 others have signed up and been billed but not seen the rate change. I haven't checked since last week, but has it started to work for anyone yet?

I tried to reach out, but the only contact info for Ford Mobility is a phone number, which is a bit of a pain when you have trouble talking.... Not that it would help it appears as the info her seems to point to the people answering the phone not having any info....

FWIW, what number have people tried? I have been told (800) 334-4375

Had to use PnC today because a previous charging session at EA didn't register as stopped in the backend, so I couldn't start another session at another charger ?. Anyway, it's still charging my 43 cents per kWh:

Still not working, sitting and charging so I spent awhile on the phone... First person didn't have a clue and transferred me to Ford pass help. Second person quickly apologized since he wasn't the right person and got me to a third person.

Third person was checking the script and it took a bit for them to realize the issue wasn't addressed in the script.

Now I wait to see if they refund me for the past charging and fix it, or if they refund me to $50 upgrade...

Looks like Ford might be doing something to make it right. My last charge session at Electrify America which was charged at 0.43 kwh has been refunded

Did they email you it send a message about the refund? Or did you just notice a refund to your card?

I tried this again on mon last
Got charged .43 once again. Called ford.com connected services on Tues. This is the second time I have called and talked to someone. This time the gal knew about the program but didn't know what's causing the problem. She was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. End result was they opened and issued a cas #. Said when she had answers she would contact me.

So there is a member on the forum who is in touch with some people at Ford and they know about the problem and are working to fix it. I just wish they were more transparent with us as customers and stakeholders. If @Ford Motor Company would just tell us that they are aware and are working on a solution I would not be as upset as I was. A little communication goes a long way.

That's the least Ford has to do, they should have tested new features with an employee trial before rolling it out to any paying customers, instead of relying on you early adopters to do the testing. Thanks for working out the bugs for the rest of us though :)

I wonder if is 50bux per car (if you have more than 1 EV)?
I checked on this with a contact in Ford. Here's what he said:

It will be a bit complex up front, working to make it more simple long term.

While a customer should technically have BOCN / BO EA* for each VIN, here is how it can work.

  • If one VIN in your FP account has a subscriptions to BOCN and BO EA ā€“ you can access and pay for either vehicle by activating the charger through the FordPass interface.
  • The one piece that doesnā€™t currently work this way is Plug & Charge. Due to the unique protocols and security comms between vehicle/charger our system is currently setup for a subscription to be tied with one VIN.
Again ā€“ we are working through how to shift these paradigms, but havenā€™t cracked it yet.

Does your contact know what is going on with the rollout? Why some people see it available for them and some people donā€™t?
