Stupid question...

My Mach-E had its first charge at an Electrify America station. The station said it was .44 per kWh. However, I just did plug & charge via the BlueOval network. I did not use an EA account to activate the charge. The session details are as follows:

Energy: 23.216 kWh
Session fee*: $5.88
Tax: $0.00
TOTAL: $5.88

As you can see, I got charged much less than the .44/kWh advertised at the station.

Is there a reason for this? I'm not complaining, just concerned when the math doesn't add up.

Another option: Sometimes EA gives free or reduced-price charging when chargers are derated. That might be why you got lucky.

You might also get a second invoice for the rest.

When I got my first MME in 2021 EA was awesome. Now they give away so much free electricity that I cancelled my membership and use EVGO and TESLER ONLY. Tesla is my first choice and I use them exclusively. EA sucks
