Or wait for the proper M version. Maybe it's just me, but I'm still a bit annoyed by BMW plastering anything and everything with an M badge.
It's definitely a shame they're doing it, and also makes it more confusing to know which is a performance model and which isn't.

Then again you can buy any model of Porsche in a turbo model now without a turbo being anywhere on the car. That's not confusing at all!

Don’t forget the Porsche models that do come with turbos……. That also aren’t turbo models.

M sport is kinda like the S line Audis. It’s just a way to sell models that look fast to people who don’t care about going fast. There is definitely a market for this. So if there is money to be made, why not?

Consumer: so what’s the benefit of turbos?
Porsche: oh it’s a highly efficient power delivery system which utilizes an impeller on the exhaust of a car and spins a separate propeller on the intake side to force more air into the intake. More air = more gas = more power.
Consumer: oh so the Taycan Turbo S has a turbo then
Porsche: no, that’s electric
Consumer: but you call it turbo
Porsche: Yes

And even worse, like mach1e said, ICE Porsche models that are Turbo without a turbo. So freaking stupid.
