The motor, transmission, electronics and respective cooling systems are combined into a single assembly called IDM. Fewer parts and significantly reduces the number of connections between the components.

Results in less weight, increase reliability and slightly better performance.

Rear motor only at this time. Front motor is not an IDM and apparently does not have oil cooling for the motor.

EDIT: I dont think we know if the GT's front motor will be the same IDM as the rear or a different design.
