Hoping someone might have some suggestions to un-brick my 2023 Select here in Melbourne Australia. The car was plugged in & charging at my office when the charge lead got caught on another moving vehicle in the carpark, and was wrenched. The charging ceased immediately (with an alert on the App). The charge plug was cracked & damaged, but it was able to be unplugged from the MME easily enough. It appeared as tho I would simply have to replace the charge cable on the charger.....until I went to drive home, and it wouldn't release from Park. The dashboard warning 'Charging station not detected' is displayed.

Not sure what has happened..?.. Has the charge-port been damaged? Or is there a re-boot of sorts that can rectify this?
Has anyone had a similar experience...?...I am lost and stranded, and would appreciate any tips or hacks to try...
To make matters worse, my local Ford dealer can't look at it for 2 weeks...!!...2 weeks FFS.... (how can they even call it a 'Service' department?)

Try pulling the emergency charge cable release:

Open frunk.

Remove the driver's side plastic trim.

There's a small cable loop with a green handle near the back of the charge port if I remember correctly.

Pull that. Hopefully you will hear the click of the charge port locking pin release.

There are some recent threads where that lock pin became stuck in the locked position here in the US due to the cold and ice. If your charge plug got snagged and pulled, my guess is it may have caused some damage and is causing your charge port to think something is still connected. Hopefully this works or it can lead you down a different road to get going again. If your charge port is similar to US spec, the lock pin/sensor is at the top of the charge port connection where the charge handle clicks in.

EDIT:
Re-reading my post and assuming everything is similar to the US specs, but to be honest, I have no idea which side your charge port is located or even which side is the "driver's side" in Australia. Apologies if my instructions differ from your car's locations, but the premise should be the same. Hopefully this will get you back on the road.

Again, based on how U.S. cars function…..
If you were AC level 2 charging, the locking pin does not come in to play, so the above likely won’t help. There is a small switch that senses when a cable is plugged in, yours thinks it still there. Either the switch was damaged, or jammed in some way.
You are likely looking at getting the vehicle towed to a dealer for a charge port replacement.

Thanks guys.
I've tried the internal release, to no avail.
The car is now with the dealer, who thankfully was able to get their tech to take a quick look at it today (to try to release the gear selector to get it off the tow truck!), but was unsuccessful.
They say they will dismantle it 'this week' & assess the problem.
I'm thinking a replacement charge port is on the cards.....and let's just hope there's one in the country.

Hopefully an easy fix.

Keep in mind you are looking at a insurance claim, not a warranty claim.

No different than if you were in an accident.**

**Because you were in an accident. The other moving car’s insurance should have to pay to fix it.

What if you would try to plug in your home charger and release it again
Perhaps that will do the trick

Update:- Finally got the car back, after 9 weeks..!!!! Yes - it was 9 weeks off the road while Ford figured out what was wrong & how to fix it, and Insurer argued about whether it was a vehicle fault(!) & should be covered under warranty.
The charge port and 3m long harness(!) were originally diagnosed as the problem, but when replaced (at a cost of $4k) the vehicle was still bricked.
Ford engineering (in Hawaii!!) had to get involved, and diagnosed that the SOBDM (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module) was faulty......at the cost of another $6k, taking the whole cost to an eyewatering $10k.
This module is a doozy - & it's big - diecast aluminum, with coolant supply, & it controls many functions including battery temperature, etc. It is buried deep inside the vehicle, and took 8 hours labour to replace!
Moral of the story - make sure your charge cable can never be wrenched from your car whilst it is charging.
