What is your objection to leaving them on all the time?

Just looks. Dont like the look of them, plus they leave residue when you go to take them off after they expire. Like to keep the car as clean as I can.

I don't mind the look. I bought the PPF pieces to mount to my car so that no residue will be left.

March 1st. They cashed my check march 28th and I received them about a week ago

My perspective - it's a dime-a-dozen car, not a work of art. Just pop the sticker on, definitely worth the HOV access.

I did install with PPF for easy removal when the sticker expires, they sell very inexpensive precut PPF on Amazon.

Some people who are very particular about their cars have used cutout magnets to place on their car when driving the HOV lane, but 1) I don't know how well they stick at road speed and 2) it seems like a major PITA to take them on and off every time you need them.

I mailed in my paperwork on March 15th and the check was cashed a couple of days ago. I personally don't like the stickers spoiling the general aesthetic of the car but am thankful the stickers won't be red.

I applied for a different eligible car on January 19 and the stickers were in my mailbox just under four weeks later. Decent chance your original application was lost in the mail. That said, I'd call before resubmitting as there could be a chance there was an issue with your application that never got back to you. They'll tell you if they never got it.

I actually tried calling them a few months after submitting my first application, but the number (800.242.4450) simply tells you to email their help desk ([email protected]) and then disconnects. Three emails later, radio silence...

I sent in a new application on tax day, so we'll see if my CAV decals or refund check come in first.

My federal refund appeared in my account an insane 6 days after submitting this year Lol. Hope your decals get properly processed this time!

Historically the stickers tended to show up a week or so after the check-cashed date. These days, who knows.

I'm actually shocked they cashed your check as quickly as they did. California must really need the cash to pad the budget surplus.
