Cant get rid of alert badge in messages

Pretty much since day 1, my FordPass app has a red alert badge in the messages section. No matter how many times I open, read and click all links in each message that little sucker won’t go away. Any suggestions for solving this first world problem?

I had the same issue. It was driving me nuts. It was like that for a couple of months. I noticed today that the alert was gone. I didn't do anything. it just seemed to resolve itself.

There's no guarantee that the same thing will happen to you, but at least you now have some reason to hope

Cant help with FordPass because I can't use it with my car.

I thought you might have been asking about the alert messages that appear on the driver's screen. Those can be cleared by pressing the OK button on the right steering wheel controls. Helpful when someone gets into the back seat and leans on the center seat area with their hand and it sets off the seat belt alarm. You can clear it with that button.

Same here, even when I clear out the messages, I see 1 left. Odd.

I have to force quit the app and relaunch it in order to clear the badge.

I had the same issue initially as well. I deleted all messages (Edit, then Select All, then Trash can icon). I think I repeated this a few times (once a day for a few days), and now the count matches the actual number of my unread messages.

I tried that—to no avail. Maybe I’ll do it a few more times.

I submitted a ticket to FordPass a few weeks back. In theory the new app version should have helped, but it didn't for me. Still got the message notification issue where it's just 1 more than actual.

I tried to clear cache. Also deleted and reloaded the app.
Not wanting to clear data on the app as I'm on a road trip and my phone and car have been getting on really well.

Yes, I ignore it. 208 and counting.
