This morning's car alarm fiasco at 5:12am has me at the end of my rope. Over the past 6 weeks or so I've had numerous times (middle of night, middle of day) where the car alarm goes off for no reason t all.

One time it happened while I was at my office and just happened to be in line of sight for my car in the parking lot. No one was around it, it was a dead calm day, and no traffic was passing by that could have caused vibrations.

I have numerous times disabled the motion sensor alarm and it always re-enables itself. The messages in FordPass claim that a door has been opened when obviously that's not the case.

I'm sick of it. Ready to sell. Is anyone else experiencing similar lately?

Aside from a dreaded trip to the dealer, any thoughts?

I think unfortunately it's a dreaded dealer visit. Might be something simple like an intermittant connection? I don't know how the car registers that a door is open or closed as there's no obvious switch. Magnets? 🤔

I had some bugs that were easily solved with a software update at the dealers. Like double honking when a passenger got in when the car was on. They did it for free ofc. Doesn't neccessarily take very long, can't remember how long mine took. Hope it fixes easily for you too.

Good morning! If you send over a Dm with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your alarm concerns on my end.

You cannot disable the interior motion sensors. The toggle reverts back to on every time you restart the car. Even the prompt to disable motion sensors upon exit doesn't seem to work. It's very frustrating. But I'm not sure that's your issue. Are you parking the car near something that might be setting them off? The alarm sensors on this car are very sensitive.

I put tape over my interior motion sensors to remedy this issue in the short term. I recently took off the tape because I had all of my software modules updated in my car. The alarm hasn't gone off anymore. Definitely go to a dealer and have them take a look at it and do some updates and/or replace some defective hardware.

I haven't had SecuriAlert turned on in a long time. I believe it tells you the specific door, right? If it is the same door every time you likely have a faulty door latch.

I don’t have SecuriAlert enabled. That’s another baffling element to this.

You can try enabling it and see if it tells you that a door was opened. Could help track down what is going on, if its actually a door sensor or something triggering.

Did you ever get this solved. I bought my car Tuesday and it’s been intermittently doing this to me for no reason. Buzz kill.

In your case it might be the door modules. '23s have newer software that turned out to be faulty. There is a TSB instructing them to be reverted to the previous configuration.
