CarPlay Map and Ford Map interplay

Up until recently if I were using Fords Direction and map it would show up in the front screen. If I put the directions into the CarPlay Map, it would cancel the Ford directions and start to show the Apple map directions.

I was using Apple Map thru CarPlay today and then switched to Ford Mapping. The front screen kept alternating between the Apple map and ford map. Flicking back and forth every 2 seconds.

really weird.

it never said it was discontinuing the other directions like it had in the past.

has anyone noticed this before.,

Nope. Mine has just instantly swapped from one to the other. A strange glitch indeed. Perhaps others have insight on the problem.

Strange. I’d reboot Sync if you haven’t done so. When you activate one navigation system with a route, the other should automatically cancel.

Good idea but I generally reboot at least once a day due to profile issue but will try it today.

Using serious radio , not thru CarPlay.

Sometimes if you have any apps open on the phone, like Twitter or even Safari on the forum page it will switch back to CarPlay because of autoplay videos

I don’t do social media, unless you count this forum. But maybe safari was an issue. I will reboot and see if problem occurs.

I'd make sure to reboot the phone as well

Just noticed I have an I phone update 16.3.1 . Will add that and reboot phone
