Still not a mustang..

Using a 2 door sport coupe name on a 4 door SUV is lame.

I call it the mach-e, yes i'm aware that all the badging is mustang!

He makes good points. And the original designer was good with it. I too was part of the “not” crowd until I drove it. Now I smile at my ponies. It’s revolutionary. It’s appealing. It’s fun. Perhaps it brings EV muscle to the masses the way the original Mustang brought muscle to the masses. I’m willing to let it be a mustang.

It’s fun to drive. It goes fast. It has sporty styling for it’s class.

Am I describing:
a. a car with technology from the last century that is god awful hard to get into, or
b. a car with the technology of the future that people can get into, or
c. both!

Call it what you want. Ford calls it a Mustang. So do I, but I recognize it as a new, different kind of Pony. I bought the car, not the name, but the name is fun.

For someone who's job is listed as in the " social media marketing world", and being a noted Mustang historian... this screams publicity stunt to garner interest. (It's like the tried and true Facebook ad scam, start a group "IHATEMUSTANGS" then when you get x number of members switch the group to "ILOVEMUSTANGS" and lock the settings so it can't be changed. Now you have x number of people to sell as "the community!" surrounding advertising dollars)
