Wasn't there a charge now button on the Ford pass app for when it's plugged in and waiting for schedule.

I don't believe so.. I know you can hit charge to 100% and it will start charging right off the bat.

PS Must be nice that Canada takes care of their recall notifications... At least now I'll know where to look when Ford starts the US recalls.

IIRC you hit the Details button and the Charge Now and Charge to 100% buttons are on the next screen.

No they don't show. I guess I can go in and manually deactivate schedule charging

They do, but, the software is buggy so sometimes they don't and sometimes the "charge to 100%" is disabled so even though its there you still can't press it....

Ok so an hour after plugging in the charge to 100% button appeared. So I guess that is like charge now, but it removes my 90% set limit. You then have to go back to "resume schedule"

Yes, unfortunately Charge Now seems to always go to 100%. Since there is a separate Charge to 100% button, I'd rather have them act separately. Sometimes, I just want to charge now but still only go to my usual 80%.

Then add in the weekend hours snafu... Plugged in Sunday afternoon, car said it was going to charge at midnight. Fine, whatever. But it didn't, instead starting at 6:37AM, and going to 98% when it's set for 90%...

I don't know if DTE's resetting my hours for peak events is impacting that, but on the weekend I will need to stay on top of my charging.

I plugged in at 8pm something the other day, according to the app the car started charging at 5pm.... I got a fancy MME with wireless charging!!!

The basic charging experience is what really gets on my last nerve with this car, there is really no excuse for it. Then all the other smaller stuff, that I would not otherwise probably care as much about, just makes the overall experience negative.

The charge now button my mine vanished with the last FordPass update. If I hit "details" I get the charge to 100% button and that's it. If I want it to charge I just hit that and later hit the "resume schedule" or stop charge button as the case may be.

The charge to 100% is only in effect for that session. Next time you plug into that location, the normal charge settings would be in effect.

Tonight (Saturday) I came home and setup a schedule and departure time for tomorrow (Sunday) morning. Charging should have started at 11 PM and ended at 9AM tomorrow with a departure time set for 845 AM.

Car started charging immediately and wanted to charge to 100%. Played with it and cursed for 20 minutes or so. Changing times, deleting schedules etc. Then I took a chance that the car thinks it’s in a different (not Home) location. Change the location to what the car thinks it’s (1 mile away) at and the schedule takes etc. So now I discover that the charging of my MME is dependent on an accurate GPS reading.

Took the schedule out of the MME entirely and put it in my Wallbox Pulsar. I know the Pulsar won’t have to rely on GPS to activate a schedule. Left the MME Charge to 80% setting active and have it set to Charge when plugged in. Also have departure set for AM.

Will see how it goes. I am so not impressed with Ford software. They are rookies at best.

PS. If you plug in after your Ford location based schedule was supposed to have started, your session will not start. Looks like their software waits for that one minute in time to start and stop the session. Not activating for a whole period where a session can start or stop.

So easy to make this bulletproof and Ford just can’t seem to get their act together. Underwhelmed……

This doesn't match my experience... my car is set to charge at home between 9 PM and noon weekdays and any time weekends. If I drive somewhere and return home before noon, it will begin charging when I plug it in. It will stop charging at noon and resume at 9 PM, if necessary. It even accounts for this time when showing the predicted finish time.

I’m pretty sure “Charge when plugged in” ignores all settings, including the charge limit.

You are correct. Once again I am unimpressed with Ford’s charging settings flexibility.
