Thanks, I ordered from Chargepoint with a 4-5 week wait a couple weeks ago. I just cancelled and ordered from Amazon.
Weird. Mine only took 2.5 weeks to ship even though their site said backordered. Literally got delivered today

Very Nice! I was thinking the same thing. I assumed that if it was available on Amazon then that probably means mine would ship soon. But ordering on Amazon was a guarantee and waiting for a shipment notice from Chargepoint was a hope and an assumption.

And its gone. There were 5 left when I went in there. Been wanting one, but will wait a bit as for now the supplied mobile charger fits my needs. I bet some goof went and bought the remaining 5 and will resell for >$1000

Generally considered a premium brand. Quality and function.
There are other good choices as well.
We install EVSE's commercially and about 75% of the time the customer chooses or specifies ChargePoint. They say they have a significant portion of market share and I haven't seen anything yet to dispute that claim.

In fact, I am heading out to see a customer who has 30 Clipper Creek units and wants us to swap them out with new ChargePoint devices. As far as I know, the CC units are working fine but they must want the extra features that CP offers.

The ChargePoint Home Flex is basically identical to the CPF50 unit which is designed for Fleet and Multi-Family applications. The only real difference is that it requires a separate user account per device and doesn't yet allow circuit share where the CPF50 units can be paired and controlled with their commercial app.

Is Pulsar Plus, for example, worse? Same 4.7 rating on Amazon

From what I reading yes it is. I know I am strongly considering it after the issues I am having with my EVSE which is now on the 3 one I have had to warranty with the manufacture and it is starting to throw charge faults again.

I have the Pulsar Plus and am happy with it so far. It’s been a little less than a month and is working well.

I’m a tech guy but have to admit that I really don’t need much tech to charge this car. Set the amps in the app, set cost for your electric, plug it in and it charges.
Shows usage in graphs or list view.

Make sure you set your home as a destination in your vehicle and schedule a charge amount and time if you want. I have mine set to just charge to 90% anytime I plug it in.

I compared reviews and comparing negative reviews, I thought my chances of issues were less with the Pulsar than the ChargePoint.

So what are the differences between this and the one that Ford offers?

Been posted a few times...

First, check with your utility company to see IF they offer rebates, and if so whether they restrict what you can buy to get the rebate.

In SE Michigan, DTE provides a $500 rebate for a ChargePoint Home Flex OR a Enel X JuiceBox. Period.

A challenge on any unit is to look at availability, warranty, and track record.

Ford's charger was pulled from market at one point...
