Why do people who make these videos have to blast music in the background?

Part of the art. Its the preference of each artist. You can mute it and read the captures. I manually typed them in, so they are not like this awkward auto generated captures.

I guess my view is that a "how-to" video is not art.
My hearing is not so good so the music makes it more difficult for me to understand the words. I do appreciate the text!

Sorry for that. People tend to watch more videos, if it has music in it. There is a fine line between not loud and too quiet. Sometimes the device makes a big difference as well. Usually all videos I post I watch them at least 5 times and ask my wife and kids, how the volume would be.

Alternatively I do the closed capture, which less then 10% of viewers actually use. I still think some do, so I put the extra work in to type it.

No - I just watched the frunk divider removal video and it seemed much better than this one. I didn't notice the music much while you were speaking. Maybe it's the different music?

It's 240 V, not 220 (and 120, not 110). But it's good to know about inserting it fully to make it work.
