I was thinking about installing an Emporia 48 amp charger. Does anyone have experience with this charger?

No, I just use the portable charger that came with the MME on a 14/50 plug for 220 volt/40 amp recharging. Easily recharges overnight. Best wishes and enjoy your MME.

using included mobile charger in NEMA 14-50 outlet is plenty for me too. 32 amps x 10 hours = 200 miles of range on overnight charge at 7kw in my garage. No need to charge any faster than that.

The first thing you may want to do is check your utility company's website to see if they offer any rebates, or discounts on chargers. Some utilities want you to use a specific brand / model, and will incentivize you to do so. Mine gave a $500 rebate to buy a specific model/brand.

Also be aware that a 48amp charger must be hardwired, whereas 40amp and lower can be a plug.
