Charging activities (what to do for 50 min of your life)

For this fabulous posting, curious to see what youzz do when your on a long drive, and have to sit...and sit....and siiiit
This enables us to take our dog for a long walk to do her business, sometimes have workout bands and a matt, workout for a few min, get a run in...and the extremely rarity, actually take to people about the ELECTRIC CAR!!!! (key in dramatic sounds).

Eat the lunch we brought.
Verify the next stop on the route, and check it in PlugShare.
Talk to other EV owners.

50 minutes sounds pretty long, I’m usually done in 30

I like to plan to stop in Kettleman City so I can use the lounge. It's got 40+ chargers, comfy chairs, TVs, and the baristas always have some fun espresso drink to try, with a cute foam "T" on top.

Otherwise, use the facilities and grab a coffee or snack, then get back on the road.

When I'm just waiting in the car, usually Youtube because Netflix and Disney+ shows are generally too long for my charging stop.

Our longest charge session so far was 45 minutes. We ate dinner.
We usually have just enough time to take turns using the restroom.
Sometimes we've run into to grab a snack.

Mostly our concern has been the opposite:

Can we get back to the charger before we have to pay for idle time?

I have a long road trip coming up, I hope I can get a Steam Deck before the end of May.

I just did a trip between DC area and Boston over the weekend. Originally I had planned to watch 8 youtube clips on my MMB for those "long" charging stops. I stopped twice each way. I ended up finishing only one 10-minute clip. I spent those times buying snacks, going to the bathroom and calling my parents in Seattle. Those charging times really went fast surprisingly.

The traffic was so bad and blue cruise was a life saver. Hands free blue cruise worked about 90% of the entire trip.

Buy coffee. Rid my body of the last coffee. Find food if it’s mealtime. Double check numbers on next stop. Then if it’s warm enough break out the glass cleaner for the windshield and the big cleaner for the front end.

When you hit Boston did you break out a helmet, and trade your blinkers for the middle finger? Use the horn instead of the brakes....ENTERING BOSTON, BLAST HIGHWAY STAR, drive like mad max

How about reading or meditation? You don’t always have to feel like you are wasting time. Look at time as a gift. Just enjoy being.
