No argument there, that's where I keep my Tesla Tap adapter. But if there is an opportunity to create a slick, semi-custom case (for anything really) some of us will do it. Just because we canthat makes more work than needed to use the adapter. Just drop it in the little spot on the side of the trunk and be on your way.

No doubt your solution works. Considering these adapters could be the deciding factor of being stranded or not I would at least put it in a cloth bag to keep dust and dirt out of it. The other side of it is a $13 case to store ~$300 worth of adapters that could be critical equipment in some situations. They are a lot more protected, look nice, are easy to find, and take a lot more space to store in the case. Oh, and the case is super accessible to acquire and modify. Whatever is important to you.
