We have this one and it worked well.

http://www.umc-j1772.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=146

Looks like it is a popular item and is on a bit of a back order. We like this one as we can just store it in the glove compartment or center console for easy access (handy if we have gear in the back etc.)
Ordered one on Monday and it shipped Tuesday and expected arrival is today (looks like it ships from SoCal) so they must be back in stock.

THANK YOU! ? I've got a lot of catching up to do. The reason I was asking is that we're planning a trip this fall (October) to Door County Wisconsin and the Ashbrooke Hotel in Egg Harbor and they have 2 Tesla wall chargers and 1 Clipper Creek J-1772 charger and I was wondering if somebody took the Clipper Creek charger if with an adapter I could use one of the Tesla chargers and now I have my answer. When I e-mailed the hotel they told me the Clipper Creek charger is rarely used and I should have no trouble using it for my car. I saw on their logs that the Tesla chargers have been used but not that much.
@Illinibird - I just bought a vacation home in Baileys Harbor, WI in Door County and installed a 14-50 NEMA outlet for charging my Mach-E and a Grizzl-E Smart Avalanche J-1772 charger hopefully coming in the next week to install up there. We do rent the house out, so keep us in mind! While our summer dates are almost completely booked up, we have a ton of availability for the fall at the moment (link to our rental listing is at the end of my post). ;) That being said, I would recommend getting a TestlaTap charging adapter for the few places that you might need to connect to a Testla Destination Charger. However, Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor has some gorgeous new chargers and you can also find a number of other L2 charging points in the various towns in Door County. Most of the town halls up there have charging available, but you might have to look behind the buildings (like the one in Fish Creek that is back by a shed well behind the building). Assuming you are heading up from Illinois, if you do need a charge on the way up and back, the Electrify America chargers at the Walmart in West Milwaukee work perfectly and Plug-and-Charge worked without a problem for me. Also, if you feel like stopping for the night in Milwaukee, the Hotel Phister has Tesla Destination Chargers and 14-50 NEMA outlets that you can plug into in their parking garage that are great for L2 charging overnight before heading the rest of the way up to Door County.

Here is the link to my rental listing, just in case you feel like changing from the Ashbrooke Hotel (not that the Ashbrooke is bad by any stretch)... Kookaburra Cottage at Kangaroo Lake – Rent Door County

Nice cabin bellyer!

it’s amazing to me that after a decade of Teslas and other EVs that sites haven’t made it easier to find EV-friendly vacation rentals.

Thank you for thinking of me (us). That is nice that you have a dedicated 14-50 outlet as we could bring our Mobile Charger and charge overnight. I know there are chargers in Milwaukee (thanks for info on EA chargers at Walmart). What about chargers between Milwaukee and Door County? I didn't see anything when I did a quick perusal of their (Abetterrouteplanner and Plug Share) maps. How far from Milwaukee to your property? We have AWD with a Std. battery so range around 210 miles. I will show Susan your property. We have stayed at the Ashbrooke (twice I think) before and loved it. Susan may have her mind made up but it doesn't hurt to show her what else is out there. Thank you again.

A place to stop is the Door County Visitors Bureau in Sturgeon Bay. It is right on the main road. Clean bathrooms, plenty of information and retail stores/fast food places across the street. Of course this is just a L2 J-1772 7kW plug. Hopefully it is open when arriving. If not, one can try the location at City Hall in town as it is also free.

Manitowoc Visitors Burea has a free L2 charger and this close to the I-43 exit. But...there is only one charger. If you go up I-45, stop in Fond Du Lac at the Alliant Energy location where a CCS DCFC 50kW charger exists and two L2 J-1772 chargers also exist. Wisconsin has poor CCS DCFC coverage once one leaves the Milwaukee/Madison area and drives off I-94. State has not spent their VW electric charging funds-yet.

I totally agree and that is actually part of the reason my wife and I decided to buy our cottage. I got tired of trying to find places to charge my Mach-E on our annual summer vacation. Most expensive Mach-e accessory ever. ?

It is about 175 miles between Milwaukee and my place in Door County. Depending on your driving and use of HVAC in the car, it would probably be a stretch to get to Door County without a charge. We really do need DC Fast Charging between Milwaukee and Door County. I have messaged Electrify America about this to beg for them and they have said they would consider it, so please pile on. I recommended that they put one near Manitowoc, Sheboygan, or even Green Bay. The stretch between Milwaukee and Door County kind of cuts it close, especially if you don't have the extended range battery.

Thank you for letting me know and confirming what I was afraid of. This trip was supposed to be done in the Mach E and I'll feel bad if we have to take our Acura MDX but so be it if there are no chargers. Personally, I can't believe they wouldn't have something in between but there are so many areas that need chargers this is probably not a priority to companies expanding their networks. Maybe if Biden gets into this things will move faster. I, myself, have already wrote to EA and suggested a charger along I-88 in Illinois near Northern Illinois University and also my daughter's house. They responded and thanked me and said she would pass my suggestion along to their team that looks at potential sites.

Morning! I am going to be a new Mach E owner later this month. With that said, please take it easy on me? What model/kind of adapter would I need to charge at Tesla stations?
I’m always easy on folks, I don’t believe anyone should be aggressive over a legitimate question. The Mach-E can utilize Level 2 Tesla chargers ( AKA destination chargers ) you would need an adapter. You cannot use the fast charger ( supercharger) with any adapter.
destination chargers are normally free, so it’s a simple plug and go.
this is the one I usehttps://amzn.to/3hQW6ZJ

I've used the Aliant Energy location several times so I can make it back home to the northwest suburbs of Chicago when traveling to/from Oshkosh. Be sure to download the Greenlots app and scan the bar code at the station to initiate charging. Best of all, charging is FREE !

Do you use that adapter with your MME or with your Ioniq? My concern with the one you linked is it is rated 40A. The MME can draw more than that. I like the price better than the Tesla Tap, but safety is important. ;)
