Hello,

My employer has two Flo-branded free charging stations, and each time I plug in, I receive the message on the drive display “ Charing Station Paused”; other non-Mach E vehicles plug in and begin their session without issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you have any suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

I would make sure that your charge settings aren’t causing your issue in your app. I believe that the car is what stops your charging session.

I believe this message is generated when the Mach-E knows it is plugged in and communicating with the EVSE and is asking to charge, but the EVSE says no for some reason and doesn't turn on the 240v pins. (smart EVSE schedule, EVSE fault like arc detection or ground fault etc.)

Are you authorized to use the EVSEs? Could be as simple as that.

Addition: FLO is tied to Blue Oval Charge Network. Do you have your account set up and working? Maybe try that.

I would try one more thing as a last resort - If you are sure there are no updates in progress, you can try a 12v reset (remove the negative terminal from the 12v battery for 30 seconds or so and replace it). This will reset the onboard charger. I've had it happen once where the charger wouldn't connect to the EVSE with the paused message and the 12v reset cleared it's brains. It was hung up on something and the 12v reset cleared it up.

Clear your charging location to be sure that's not a factor.

The paused error can be caused by a bad J1772 connection or faulty EVSE. Make sure you are plugging in the cable fully, and there is enough cable slack so the cable is not pulling on the charge port. Park closer if the cable is taught.
