Reviewing some of the data on the tracker, I've noticed that some cars are marked as "Company Car" with no dealer information. I would have thought that company cars would be prepped by dealers, but is there some other way that they are distributed to employees?

I'm not sure how they're handled outside of SE Michigan, but here, they're sent to WHQ-VSC, which is the World Headquarters Vehicle Service Center. Employees are told when their cars are ready, and then they go and pick them up. No need for a dealer; Ford employees handle this.

FWIW, not every Ford employee is entitled to a company car, and they're not free (or even cheap). In the USA, lowest-level managers and highest-level technical specialists become eligible to lease a car direct from the company.

"Company Car" in the dealer order system is one of the ways a manually-entered order at the dealer can reflect the customer's name. I had one of my previous cars with "Company Car Name" as my name, even though it was a dealer transaction.

The actual Ford managers who get their company car leases do not go through the dealer process. They pick their vehicles up at work.

No, but a yearly lease with insurance, free maintenance, and unlimited miles included is a nice perk even if you have to pay for it, not to mention not having to sit with the salesman and finance manager and explain why you don't want the undercoating. :p
