2023 Order Speculation

In the thread above people have commented on the speculation for changes in the 2023 model year. Given Ford has cut off all orders for 2022 Mach E's I am wondering when they will begin converting our existing and unfilled 2022's to 2023's? I ordered my 2022 Mach E Premium AWD ER on January 8, 2022. My dealer contacted me and suggested I change my order to park assist kit vs. park assist and summer tires vs. all season to get my order moving. I made those changes and the order was confirmed via email from Ford on April 8th but no schedule for production. That was two weeks ago.

I would love to think my car will still come in 2022 but wondering if and when it will be converted to 2023 which means I won't see it for several months. What are people thinking?

There’s no guarantee they will. Perhaps the reason they stopped accepting orders for 2022s is so that they wouldn’t have to.

I think it's way too early to predict such a thing, but my money is on them not having to roll over any orders to 23 barring a recall/stop order/chip hold/etc..

I ordered a GT on April 8th and am planning to get it this year (*knock on wood*).

For several months?

Your 2022 order likely won't be at your dealers for many months. Figure Q4. If they convert it to a 2023, which no one has any information on, then it would be next calendar year.

Ford closed the order banks so that they can get through all the of the orders they have. I think they learned their lesson from last year. Ford has already communicated that unfulfilled orders will not carry over to MY 23 for some Model lines ( Super Duty). I suspect the same will happen for the MME if there are any orders left to build.
