Forgive me if this is an old topic, has anyone got a recommendation for a specific cooler that fits in the frunk well? Thanks!

Best I've found so far was a really cheap styrofoam cooler from a convenience store that I happened to have in my attic. I'd love to find one that really fits well.

I spent some time looking for a soft-sided cooler bag that would fit well, and never really found one that looked like a good fit. I was temped to order this one and give it a try: https://tesloid.com/product/model-y-frunk-cooler-food-bag/

Even though the Model Y and MME have similar general frunk dimensions, the MME has some contours (like the drink holder) that would probably result in a poor fit.

The moment someone starts selling an MME specific cooler bag, I'll buy it!

Could always line the frunk with several large garbage bags or Poly, throw a box inside and spray some great stuff to fill the cavity around the interior box. Once cured, you should be able to pull the poly and the rigid part out..

Why not get a cooler the size of the box at that point?

I don't know - just spit-balling. :) Figured it would help reduce the cooler from rolling around if it was more form-fitting,

I was thinking along those lines, too

is the frunk actually a good place to put a cooler / ice? i've found after 1-2 hour drives the frunk is actually pretty hot

am i better off putting the cooler in my trunk?

Ran a little experiment- while driving the frunk stayed fairly steady, a couple of degrees above ambient. Parked in the shade for 10 minutes with the AC on and the temp popped up to 10 over ambient. Kind of points to at least one heat source, but based on this very limited experiment it seems ventilation around the tub while in motion keeps it from picking up too much heat, but sitting still is no Bueno.

Not entirely surprising.
