Cracked roof!!!!

Anyone else have issues with glass roof cracking??? Have a huge one right above drivers seat. NO sign of any impact at all. Guessing faulty install or window. I’m sure I know the answer but going to see if will warranty. Different if there was stone chip etc, there is not!!

There is a couple spots of tree sap you can see, not stone chips.

What that doesn't show is the outside. Dealership will look for a stone hit on the leading edge that did that.

Consider seeing if a windshield repair outfit would at least fill in that crack before it spreads more on either the roof or the windshield.

There have been a couple earlier threads on cracked roof, including mine. No sign of impact on mine and it was replaced under warranty.

Glad to hear!! I initially told the wife to go straight to local glass repair, they are great. Then immediately retracted that as going straight to dealer FIRST. I don’t want them the “void warranty” if try and repair it first. Once they see it, I will go straight to glass shop until they can get me a new one.

I'd recommend that if the dealership says it will be covered, you do nothing. There is nothing you need to do.

If they fight you on it, the next stop is your insurance company. Most use a glass network. Mine actually links directly to Safelite.

I think the glass has a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Unfortunately for me im over both. Safelite is getting me an OEM windshield with a 500 dollar deductible

I don't believe that is correct. If it fails due to a defect, it will be covered for 36/36,000. If it fails from an impact, it's not covered the day after you bought it.

I think the 12/12k is only for wear and tear items like tires, brakes, etc. I can't see the glass, if it is defective, being limited to that, but who knows nowadays...

I saw something specifically for glass in the fordpass app. I think it was in the service tab/warranty?
