Cutoff date on waiting for your Mach-E?

For those of us that ordered and are waiting for the build/shipped date with NO update from Ford or has received the 6+ week chip shortage email…. do you have a “cutoff” date of when you’re going to select another vehicle? If so, whats your cutoff date and what vehicle are you considering next?

Nah, I'm kinda in a holding pattern. Only other car on the list was the Kia EV6 GT, which does not come out until next year.

BMW i4 M50 but there would have to be a huge problem or setback

We have a pretty long timeline. My wife is trading her Mini countryman towards the Mach-e. The car is a 2019, so no real concerns. I really don't want to deal with it off warranty (not into repairing that BMW drivetrain), but that still gives us about 18 months. I hope we are not waiting that long. Per our dealer we have a built week at the end of October.

I put my name on the waiting list for the Kia too. Looks like I won’t get a car till next year no matter what I get! ?

My cutoff date is Sept 27, the day the 2022's ordering opens up. Now I really want a Mach-E but if they offer Eruption Green I'll switch to a 2022, otherwise its another hunt for a big block 68~69 Mustang fastback!

If there was another comparable vehicle I would have already bought it. However, later in 2022 and onward, I am pretty sure I could find something to my liking, as everyone has something electric in development.

I don't have a date in mind but if something catches my eye or one of the 22 Mach-E new colors catches my eye maybe I move on.

I keep vacillating between December 31 and just holding the line. I placed my reservation early enough so that I should be taking delivery soon. The reality is that we’re not even close to my assigned production week. So, I would be a bit frustrated with @Ford Motor Company if I don’t get my car before the end of the year. That said, I hate the tiny battery in my Fusion Energi and am frustrated by it daily.

Tiny battery frustration is currently winning, so I am currently on the holding the line side of the fence.

The problem I have is I don't like anything else currently out and everything I do like is either out of my price range or not coming out until next summer, so I might as well keep on waiting

I just don't want a 2021 after the 2022's are being ordered and shipped.
I wont pay for a last years model unless it gets a substantial price drop !

I’ll wait for now. Hoping tax changes don’t affect me though when I do get it. Or affect me in a good way.

I'm in no real hurry, so I can wait Ford out.

Like others, if I see something I like come available, I might take it. But I expect my Mustang will arrive before I could get my hands on a Q4 E-Tron, Ioniq 5 or EV6. Probably...
