I have my installer Alphawerks on hot standby for both post-delivery!
@scoopman can you provide input on Alphawerks and ceramic coating. I was set of XPEL PPF but I am thinking of ceramic coating too. I was looking at Dynamic Detailing or Elite Auto Films both in Santa Clara. I figured I would be spending $500 to $1000 a year in detailing so why not reduce that by half with the cermic coating.

Forum member @fayt349 had work done there, and I read good other reviews on them.

I went to high school with the owner of Dynamic Detailing. I remember that guy used to do work on cars in his driveway before opening up the place. They’re really good, but I still got mine done at alpha Werks, it was cheap and pretty good. No idea how much the ceramic coating was cause I paid $1,800 for that, painted red calibers, and vinyl grill and hood stripes.

I got very good results from them, but they're expensive:

@mylittlepony Yeap they were definitely not cheap or fast, but they did generally a great job and were very easy to work with. I just bought a $75k car, I'm ok going with a good shop to do PPF and ceramic....

I'm still waiting to get their awesome photos they took when I picked the car up.... I can't wash it yet, ceramic is still curing.

@scoopman the picture looks great. I am definitely looking at Alphawerks. I bought the identical car, but I will not get mine until early 2022. I agree that with the cost of the car, the extra cost to protect it is worth the investment. We keep our cars for decades so the more protection of the paint, the better it will look in the not too distant future.

How much PPF did you do? Just the front end? What options did you chose for the ceramic coating? Did you do one coat, or two coats? One year, two year or five year warranty? If you do not mind, can you share the details and the cost. You can reach out to me privately if you need.

We just got back from our first road trip with our GTPE, Mach N Cheese. Full trip write-up coming soon from our eventful visit to the Central Coast of California, but in the meanwhile, thought I'd share this shot of the Cheesester on the Pacific:
