I purchased at Autonation Scottsdale. They were awesome. Ordered back in June with them and they never played any games. X-Plan pricing through MCA, all rebates honored, and Ford Options for their first time. They tried to sell me the warranty for 800 bucks, but it wasn’t a hard sell. It was a painless experience and professionally executed. Nick Bryan handles all the Mache sales.
I also ordered from Autonation. Quick question, did you tell them beforehand not to include any add-ons?

I ordered through Autonation Scottsdale too, so good to hear someone had a good experience. I got one email saying the order was accepted, no other contact from them. I stopped in because I saw they had one Mach-E on the lot and wanted to see it up close. No pressure at all from the salespeople, very low key. The guy I talked to did look up my info and verify my order, and took my number in case the model I am looking for happens to come in before my order does. Fingers crossed it stays this easy!

We're you able to test drive it or just sit in it? I know they got their test vehicle recently but wasn't sure if they are offering test drives yet.

Likely still available if you're interested.

Nice! Have you had consistently good service experiences there? Just curious as I'm considering my options on where to have any future warranty work done.
I haven’t needed any service so I can’t speak to that side of the dealership. The sales side was very smooth without the usual dance.

I ordered in June, 2020 and had limited communication until February, 2021 when they had a demo come in. I never asked or specified no add-ons. When delivery was imminent, I emailed Nick Bryan to facilitate the purchase and he sent me the credit app. I specified that I was using X-plan and Ford options. The price was exactly as specified by the x-plan and $100 doc fee. Smooth as silk and very professionally done. My only other domestic car dealer experience is Jeep, and they are a whole different story. Depending on how the Bronco comes out, I see a trade-in in my future at Autonation. I wouldn’t mind never dealing with Jeep ever again.

I only sat in it, I did not even ask for a test drive, and they did not offer. I took my wife to see it a couple of days later, and she only sat in it too. So no idea if they are letting people drive it or not. I will test drive one after I have some idea of when my order might get built.

Any experience with Earnhardt Ford down in Chandler area? A bit far to go to Scottsdale and think that the sales tax rate is lower in Chandler.

AFAIK, sales tax on a vehicle purchase is based upon your resisdence not where you buy it.

I was charged the Scottsdale sales tax but I live in a different city with different tax rate. (And the dealer is technically on the Pima reservation, but seems to follow Scottsdale rules.)

2021 Mustang Mach-e Premium RWD Ext Range
Country flag
I picked up an Ext Range RWD Premium from Camelback Ford a few weeks back that someone had ordered and not taken delivery of. They had added some stuff like nitrogen and there was a $5k ADM. Negotiated the options off and the ADM down to around $2500 (before hearing about Mike Levine's tweet). I have since DM'd with @mrlevine and he's going to look into it.

Post-purchase, I've had an issue with not being able to activate my mach-e in the FordPass app. My salesman from Camelback tried a bunch to help troubleshoot it. I made an appointment with the service department a week later and as soon as I described the problem, they punted back to the salesman, claiming he would know better than they how to get it working. Still haven't been successful. I'm now waiting for the mach-e specialists from FordPass phone support to call back after an "escalation."

Congratulations. Hope you are successful in getting the rest of ADM removed. Camelback isn't asking for ADM on ordered cars, but apparently trying to get it on stock.

FWIW, this is the one I originally ordered, before switching to Grabber Blue First Edition.

Pre-Purchase: I purchased through Chapman Ford and it was mostly painless. I think I was one of the very first, so they didn't know what Ford Options were, but sounds like that's solved now. Kelly asked via email ahead of delivery if I wanted any of the extra stuff like nitrogen, tint, etc in advance so it was ready upon pickup if I did. I opted for the tint just to get it done. All communications were done via email and Kelly was responsive, but not overly knowledgeable. I give her the benefit of the doubt since it was a brand new car with new financing options.

Sales process in person took quite a while, I had X-Plan and it was honored, but required 2 trips back to the manger office. Finance person pushed the warranty and also a security window etching that I said I didn't want but she replied, "Ford makes us do it". When we got to that page there were big bold letters right in the middle that said THIS IS OPTIONAL so I made her remove it -- that required another trip to the manager office to get approval.

Delivery process was fine, nothing special. Didn't program phones or nav with us, or walk through any features, which was fine with me, but my wife wanted a bit more of a tutorial. Like I said, I think we were one of the first to get the car, so not sure they really knew much about the car at that point.

They did try to install my license plate by drilling holes through the bumper rather than using the pre-drilled bolt holes. That was annoying and they sent through the body shop to get that fixed.

Service: the above mentioned body shop work, plus this Door Not Closing issue got us to be pretty familiar with the service side of Chapman. Long story short, stay as far away as possible. They had the car for roughly 2 weeks, didn't want to do a loaner (they got me a Lyft back to Gilbert, and then later that day called back and said I could get a loaner, so had to get a ride back up there). The body work was handled under the sales side, the door under service side, and I guess they don't talk or work together on combined issues. Post service, they delivered the car back worse than it arrived with a door that didn't open from the inside (forgot to hook the interior latch up, I guess) and the same problem with the door. In fact, the exact same issue happened the first time my wife pushed the button on the door when she picked it up - right there in the service center parking lot. At that point if was 530p and no one was there to help, so a service guy wrote it up again as a problem to be fixed at a later time. Discovered the interior door problem later that day when a passenger tried to get out. The communication was pretty horrible. Overall the worst service experience I've ever had. Like I said, I would stay far far away.

Service at San Tan Ford: I don't know about the sales process, but I called San Tan to get the above door issue fixed. Mike Peek could not have been more helpful. It was a complete change from Chapman. Constant communication, offered a loaner car immediately without me even bringing it up as something I'd need, very thorough in keeping me updated and on what they were doing. A+ job from San Tan Ford service department.

Did you get their loaner Mach-E or something different?
San Tan wouldn't let me have their Mach-E FCTP car when my car was there for a week. I did get a loaner (2019 Edge) so that was something. My car was there for a week because they removed my windshield before verifying they had the replacement in hand. (parts counter mix-up).

I can understand. Mistakes happen. But the FCTP car is for this purpose and it bugs me they didn't loan it to me and I had to drive an ICE vehicle. :( Worst part is that particular week I was driving my car to Scottsdale and back a couple times per day so I was racking up the miles. Hated pumping gas. Never realized how much I disliked that until I had to do it again.....

I am still sore about it.

Placing an order today for two more Ford Pickups (F250 and F150). I am getting a quote from San Tan just to verify but I am leaning towards Sanderson Ford for my fleet purchases.

We got an Escape with about 1,000 miles on it. It certainly wasn't the Ford Focus we got from Chapman.... Mike did mention up front that he couldn't get me in a Mach-E loaner. Not sure if that was because it was out or it was just policy.

I feel your pain on the gas station! I take it for granted now that we very rarely go to a gas station now.
